Contributors
Even major online newspapers now encourage users to vote on content with the
most popular stories published more prominently. News organisations have accepted
the existence of bloggers (often journalists) and publish a limited amount
of user submitted content.
Members
Within the 999Network, users (members) can become 'contributors' who submit
content for publication, subject to editorial controls. Contributors use software
developed by the business which enables them to write and submit editorial
content for approval and to track their published content.
Contributors offer additional expertise and diversity, and provide valuable
content which adds value to the network.
Modern
media breaks many rules of traditional publishing and the phenomenon of user
contributed content is a striking example of the changing media landscape.
