The business has invested in research and development to enable it to face the challenges of developing the technologies to publish and manage such a complex network of websites.

The development team have created technology for a new online publishing model, with content created and managed 'locally' on individual websites ('end nodes') within the network, but that same content will also be aggregated up the network, from end node to portal, whilst other global content, for example, 999Today.com, will be distributed across the whole network.

The business manages its own web servers and has developed sophisticated administration tools to enable it to optimise its web serving platform.
